Dig deep people.

My man "Doughboy" is a good guy with a big heart. A good friend, Ricky Chang had a bad spill on the bike while riding street in July. He is paralyzed and has been shacked up in Hot'lanta trying to get better handle on the situation. His medical bills are piling up and his family is going through a lot. Thats where you, me and Doughboy come into play. There will be an impromptu trail jam/jump contest at the 495 trails. He is getting together some really great prizes to dish out and you are gauranteed to have a great time. Entry is only 20 bucks and all the proceeds go to Ricky's family.
Pay it, show up and ride and or hang out. There have been a lot of these benefits over the past few years, and as they touch us all and make us stop and think we do not always muster up the energy to react. This is your time to react, to help and to make a difference in someones life. Ricky is a rider and good person, its the least that we can do.
Thanks to Corey at RideDC for putting a flyer together.

Don't hurt'em Hammer!

Truvativ Hammerschmidt is going to be the new fad.

A new fangled system to replace that pesky front mech. This little bundle of science will mount on at the bottom bracket and contains a planetary gear system that gives you a wider range of gear ratios in the front as well as allows you to lose the other rings, shorten the chain and has a built in basher. Weight? I dunno. It could be a great addition for the "All-Mountain" category. That's all I got...

Very trying times

It moves in waves, sometimes you don't hear anything for a while and then it comes flooding in like they are all against us. The bicyclist has been traveling across the grain in this country from pretty much the start. Many cities have begun to accept our presence with designated lanes, secure lock up and even accommodating buses. The fact is that things will get better; the time-line on which that takes place is up to all of us to create. These past horrific events cannot slow our cadence, in fact they should increase the determination and force as we propel forward into acceptance.

Click these links, don't get too depressed. It is their to inform.
Cupertino Sheriff destroys lives.

That dumbass New York cop!

Big thanks to Dave for making me pissed enough at work to vent.
